I’ve been so freaking excited about this month’s Beauty Heroes discovery! Often it can be hard to keep it under wraps but this month was especially hard since it includes one of my favorite skincare brands, Josh Rosebrook, AND it features his newest launch. Not only that, but there’s not one but two sidekicks! Pretty awesome, right? Well, let’s dive into the August Beauty Heroes with Josh Rosebrook and talk about what’s inside!
August Beauty Heroes
Anyone familiar with green/clean skincare will likely know about Josh Rosebrook. It’s one of the OG clean brands that delivers highly effective products. I know Josh puts so much thought, knowledge, and intention into his formulations, so it’s always exciting when he launches something new. Especially since he rarely adds to his lineup. So I’m very excited to introduce you to his latest which happens to be the hero this month.
The Hero
The new Daily Acid Toner is perhaps a miracle in a bottle. Since I’ve been using it, I’ve immediately noticed softer, more hydrated skin. I was worried it may strip my skin but it’s actually done quite the opposite. Not only that, but it’s become a welcome step in my skincare routine, as I’ve found my other products tend to absorb in more evenly after I’ve used the toner.
It has a wonderfully gentle formula that softens, brightens, and smooths skin with AHAs like malic, citric, tartaric, and glycolic fruit and flower acids. That may sound intense but it’s balanced out with deeply hydrating, pH-balancing minerals and plant actives from things like sea kelp, montmorillonite clay, Irish moss, and more. It also has several antioxidants and includes Galactoarabinan from the Larch tree which encourages cellular renewal. All of the ingredients are designed to work synergistically over time to improve luminosity and resurface your skin.
The scent is lovely- Slightly floral with hints of citrus. I usually apply with a reusable cotton pad after cleansing. Then I follow with a face mist, serum, then moisturizer.
The First Sidekick
So excited to see one of my longtime favorites from Josh Rosebrook included this month! The Hydration Accelerator probably needs no introduction around here as I’ve sung its praises many times over, but just in case…
What makes this face mist so special is that it infuses vitamins, herbs, hydrating ingredients like aloe, and even some powerful additions like Ashwagandha. It balances pH levels and has just the right amount of mist when you press the pump (if you’ve tried several face mists, you know some are really intense!). Plus I love the soothing scent!
The Second Sidekick
One of the silkiest tinted SPFs that I’ve tried! The Nutrient Day Cream Tinted has just enough color to blend in with most skin tones without leaving a white cast and does a wonderful job of moisturizing skin. Like all of Josh Rosebrook’s products, it has some star ingredients like rosehips, broccoli, ginko, bilberry, and more.
I love the finish this gives my skin and it truly blends in so easily. The only heads up I’ll give is that I’ve found I need to make sure I apply enough of it so I don’t get more sun than intended. It’s a thinner formula than a lot of natural sunscreens, so just keep that in mind when applying.
