Nobody should have to compromise their health for their beauty. That’s the motto Au Naturale goes by and their non-toxic makeup proves that natural cosmetics can outshine conventional even without all the harsh additives and toxic ingredients.
I’ve been a fan of their makeup for a while now and had a chance to chat with the founder, Ashley Prange, at a luncheon hosted by Beauty Heroes last year. Ashley is as passionate as she is beautiful. Of course I’m drawn to Au Naturale because of their mission and advocacy, but I’m also really excited about their makeup! They’re innovative in thinking of new ways to package and dispense their makeup and they offer a wide range of colors in all of their products. While some green beauty brands have come under scrutiny for not offering darker foundation shades, Au Naturale has many different shades for all skin tones. Some Of My Favorites
Zero Gravity C2P Foundation
I’m partial to cream foundations and I found that this gave me quite a bit more coverage than most cream foundations. It’s matte and not greasy, so it would be great for any type of skin, especially oily skin types. I have it in the color Lucerne and it’s just a tad light for me, but I’m able to blend it enough so I can wear it. It lasts all day if I set it with powder. I highly suggest ordering a sample to find your shade.
Pore Minimizing Finishing Powder
This setting powder looks yellow in the bottle, but disappears on your skin. It has a pump which dispenses it out onto your brush or the back of your hand (which you can then tap your brush onto it). I usually pump it right into my brush and then cover my t-zone since I’m oily there. It does a great job of setting makeup and slightly blurring imperfections. $26
Super Fine Powder Eye Shadow
I really like the unique roller ball applicator on these! You can roll directly onto your lid and then blend out with a brush, or you can roll onto the back of your hand and then pick it up with a brush. My favorite color is Tupelo– It’s a nice neutral with a little iridescence. $15
Lip Gloss
They have two great lip glosses. First the su/Stain Matte Lip Stain, which truly looks like a lip stain and is a nice everyday lip color for $25 (Psst- They’re offering a free su/Stain with orders over $50 right now). Next they have the High Lustre Lip Gloss, which is more moisturizing and of course, glossy. That one is $18.
