Beautiful products that really perform and are free of any harmful ingredients and put a healthy spin on beauty? Maybe that’s why W3ll People has made quite a name for themselves in the natural beauty community. In fact, their range of very wearable makeup products has transcended the natural beauty world and has recently settled in nicely alongside major beauty brands at Target. If you’ve experienced their products, then you know that it’s no mystery why they’ve taken off. Their clean aesthetic coupled with easy to use products that truly do perform as well as mainstream products, has made their line a top choice among green beauty connoisseurs.

W3ll People was founded by a team of (as they say it) an elite makeup artist, cosmetic dermatologist and tree hugging entrepreneur. With their powers combined they were able to create this very special brand that goes beyond leaving out the no-no ingredients. They take it a step further and include ingredients that actually help to nourish your skin and make it healthier. They use a unique complex of organic aloe, organic chamomile and organic green tea, all of which do wonders for your skin. And as if it wasn’t enough to make their makeup actually be healthy for you to use, they also have a healthy outlook on beauty and spread that message, like the card above saying “Let’s take pretty to a more positive place”.

I’ve really enjoyed all the products I’ve tried from them, but let’s talk specifics! W3ll People’s line includes everything from concealer to lipstick to mascara. Some of the line is mineral powder based and some is in a stick form. I personally really love using the twist up sticks. I think it makes applying makeup a breeze and it’s very easy to use a beauty blender to get it on evenly. All of their makeup has great staying power. I’ve been a longtime fan of W3ll People and recently they sent me a few products to try that I was unfamiliar with (all except the mascara, which we’ll get to shortly).

Bio Bronzer Stick– Finding a good bronzer is harder than it seems. I think it’s tough to get the tone just right so that it reads not so orangey or fake. This bronzer strikes the right cord, allowing me to use it for contouring or adding some color into my face. It never looks fake and I’ve found it quite easy to blend in. It’s on the darker side, so a little goes a long way for me. I’m able to use a small amount and then use my fingers or a beauty blender to make it seamlessly blend in. $29

Universalist Colorstick in no. 8 (dusty rose)- I was worried this terra-cotta looking shade wouldn’t suit me as I don’t often do well with warm shades, however it goes on as a light pink that stays pretty neutral despite it’s warm appearance. It does well as both a blush and lipstick and I frequently will wear it as both at the same time. Using it as a blush, I simple blend it in as I do the bronzer and it gives a nice glowing but subtle pop of color to your cheeks. You can use it on your eyes as well. $34.50

Bio Brightener– This stuff. It may be the best highlighter I’ve ever used, no lie. The soft beigey luminous stick reads completely natural and dewy when you apply it. No glittery flecks, no weird color tone, just fresh, glowing skin. I love it! Even on no-makeup days I still apply this because I love the way it makes my skin look. $29

Expressionist Mascara– Sooo I while back I may have mentioned that I had a bad experience with this (yikes, here’s where it gets awkward..), so when I was offered the chance to try it again I hesitated. I have to say I’m so glad I did try it one more time. I’m thinking I had a bad batch or something because my previous experience of it flaking constantly was not an issue this time around. It does smudge a bit more than traditional mascaras (it’s almost impossible to find a natural mascara that doesn’t), but I have to say I am pretty impressed with the performance it gave this time around. It lengthens more than any other natural mascara I’ve tried and it stays all day. I curl my lashes and it also holds the curl all day long. So I recant my former statement, and instead I will say I do recommend it! $23.50

Have you tried W3ll People yet? Are you excited to see more nontoxic beauty brands at national retailers? I know I am! Although, I’ll still probably shop at natural retailers when it comes time to purchase.
