I may have already sang my praises for Maya Chia’s The Super Couple once before, but I’m back with a quick update on how my skin’s been doing with it lately and a new favorite from them! After my last post about Maya Chia, I was fortunate to be able to try their Supercritical Chia Waterless Wonder Balm, as well. I had mentioned in the post that it was on my list to try next and Maya Chia very generously gifted one to me to try. They were very clear that this was a no strings attached gift, they weren’t looking for a review, etc., BUT a review is exactly what I’m going to give because it’s THAT good.

So let’s rewind to The Super Couple. After really giving it a few months of time it has become one of my top three face oils, even beating out some luxury oils I’ve had sitting here that I’ve not managed to finish. I’m actually almost out of The Super Couple already and will be promptly re-ordering. What sealed the deal for me is how light weight it is, yet it still manages to moisturize just as well as some of my heavier (greasier) oils. I hate going to sleep with an oil slick on my face because 1. gross and 2. my pillow case ends up sopping up my hundred dollar face oil. But I also hate waking up with dry, tight skin, which is usually the case with some of my lighter oils. I was close to losing my faith in face oils, but this (with the help of the Waterless Balm) has pretty much solved my face oil woes. I also love how radiant and soft my skin looks and feels with it.

Waterless Balm

The Supercritical Chia Waterless Wonder Balm smells amazing (it’s seriously so nice!) and has the perfect buttery consistency that sinks into skin without making it the least bit greasy. I truly have combo skin, which is why it can be challenging with an oil alone, but I’ve found that layering this on top of my dryer areas (like my cheeks and temples) helps to seal in the moisture overnight. Together they’re definitely a power couple for my skin. And I have to repeat this, because it’s a freaking miracle- it doesn’t make my skin greasy at all! Most balms turn into a thick oil on my skin as I’m trying to rub them in and this one really just goes on smoothly, as a balm should. I even use it through out the day at times to touch up dry areas and to even out makeup if it looks a little cakey. It’s become a go-to product in my top drawer that I whip out several times.

Maya Chia

Packaging isn’t everything, but it does add to the overall experience with the line and I feel like the chic, pretty labeling from Maya Chia is just my style. Seeing as I also can’t get over how nice the products smell and how well they work, this is pretty much a home run for me. I was really excited about sharing this line with you all so I teamed up with Maya Chia for a giveaway over on Instagram. Be sure to check it out! You can also purchase their products through BeauTeaBar.com. xo
