Teri Miyahira truly is a green beauty queen and I can’t wait to share ALL the things she’s been up to, because this girl is seriously up to some awesome things. I kind of feel like Mugatu in Zoolander when he kept saying ‘That Hansel’s so hot right now’.. But in all seriousness, Teri is everywhere right now. You guys may know her from her popular YouTube channel and her own product line which she offers through a subscription service, but now she’s one-upped even herself and turned her site TeriMiyahira.com into a destination for great info from herself, other bloggers, and even some professionals. They dish about everything from beauty, to motivation, to wellbeing and more. Keep an eye out, because I’ll soon be contributing there too! She’s got so much going on, right? It’s even more amazing that her monthly box continues to be filled with gorgeous beauty products, all of which she creates herself!
June Box
The June box had me doing a double take because at first glance, it looked like lip gloss or some liquid eyeshadow. When I took a closer look and started playing with the colors, I realized it was roll-on loose pigment! I’d never even seen anything like this, so of course I had to try it out as eyeshadow, highlighter, blush and more. It rolls on fairly pigmented and you can layer more on for deeper color. I really like all three, but I especially love patience. It kind of looks like a cross between rose gold and a coppery color. I also enjoyed Love, the coral color, and Freedom, which is a fun, sparkly gold. You can do so much with these by using them on their own or mixing them into your moisturizer. I even tried mixing a bit with water which made it have a more intense color and last really long.
Also in the June box was Detox Tonique, which is a purifying facial toner. With witch hazel, green tea extract, grapefruit oil and more, it helps tone skin and keep oil at bay. It has really nice citrusy smell and is perfect to refresh your skin during summer. The three makeup items were full sized and this skincare item is a medium size.
July Box
Clean and chic is what the adorable pouch says in the July box and truly these items are both. My most favorite item from this box is the pressed eyeshadow in Patience. You know I love a good rose gold color and that’s exactly what this looks like when I wear it. It’s soft and a little shimmery, but perfect to wear with other colors or wear on its own. The mineral formula is very long lasting.
I also really liked the powder blush in Intuition. To be honest, I thought it may be too dark and too warm for my skin tone, but I was surprised by how much I liked it after I put it on. I just use a light hand to apply and it’s actually very flattering. If you have darker skin, this would look lovely as is or built up for a deeper color.
The skincare item for the July box was a Bamboo and Blueberry exfoliating powder. It’s just as unique and nice as it sounds! It has a fresh, slightly fruity scent and when you mix it with water, it gently exfoliates your skin without irritating it.
These boxes have been selling quick, so there’s now a waitlist for the September box. The boxes will always be a surprise, but each month you can count on 2 to 3 full sized products and 1 to 2 medium sized ones, with a mix of makeup and skincare.
