I’m always excited when a fellow green beauty lover creates something new. While green beauty keeps getting better and better, there’s always room for more glam products to help convert those still using conventional products and to give devoted green beauty fans more products to play with! Teri Miyahira has certainly created a line of products worth converting to green beauty for. Her unique subscription-based beauty box brings you her latest creations each month and let me tell you- this girl has made some knock-out products. I’ve known Teri through social media since I started blogging and I knew right away that she was very well versed in makeup products that are natural and actually perform.. Her YouTube videos showcase the latest makeup (with the best green, cruelty-free beauty products) and the looks you can create with them. She took that product expertise and passion for green beauty and wrapped it up into one very pretty package: Teri Miyahira Beauty.
Each month this box includes at least 2 full sized makeup items and 1-2 medium sized skincare or bath/body products. Teri was kind enough to send me a box last month and this month so I could see what she’d been up to and I knew she was on to something right away. From her pretty and chic motivational cards to the reusable canvas bags housing the products, everything was well thought out and perfectly delivered. I love the messages on the motivational cards and on the canvas bags! More importantly, the items inside are what really stole the show. As you probably guessed, both boxes contained high quality, completely natural products that really live up to the standards of even the biggest green beauty diva.
This Month’s Box
The two featured makeup items in this month’s box are actually highly-pigmented, liquid makeup. I was amazed at just how intensely pigmented they are and how versatile both products are! Also included was a 1 oz size body butter.
Dew Drops Calm
This lightweight liquid is more of a highlighter, but can also be easily mixed into other makeup products to add a little glow to your look. A little goes a long way and after you blend it in, it leaves a nice glowy, pearlescent sheen and it fakes a smooth, hydrated complexion. I even mix a few drops into my body oil for an extra glow!
Dew Drops Joy
I know I keep saying highly-pigmented, but seriously, this stuff with blow you away! Just a little drop will give your cheeks a gorgeous flush or give your lips a beautiful rosy glow. This can be used on cheeks, lips and eyes and has a slight iridescent shine. It also has staying power and really stays put all day.
Bulgarian Lavender Whipped Body Butter
A richly hydrating body butter that also happens to smell like a field of lavender. It’s creamy and smooth texture sinks into your skin immediately. It’s definitely a very decadent moisturizer.
Last Month’s Box
Last month’s box featured two pressed powder makeup items and a very tropical inspired mask. I loved the large compacts that the makeup items came in. You definitely get plenty of product with those! The mask was a nice little companion to the makeup items.
Chance Powder Bronzer
With a subtle shimmer and a medium bronzy tone, this adds a nice touch of color and a little bit of a glow. I was able to use it as a blush as well since it had a not too dark color. It builds color nicely as well, if you want to get a little more bronzy.
Hope Powder Blush
Hope is a warmer toned blush- almost terra cotta in my opinion. It sweeps on nicely and has great staying power. I have light/fair skin and it was a little dark for me, but after I get a bit of sun this summer, I think it will be a great shade for me. Those with fair skin can certainly wear this, just know that it will be a darker shade.
Volcanic Kukui Nut & Pineapple Mask
This “two minute instant facial” mask helps to exfoliate with enzymes and leaves your skin feeling smooth. The directions say to use it weekly and there’s enough product to get a few weeks worth of use. Skincare can be tough since it’s never one size fits all, but I thought this was a nice addition to the box and who doesn’t love a mask?
