FINALLY, it’s been warm and sunny here (albeit, with a bit of cold and rainy set back this week), and I’m definitely in the mood to bring on the wardrobe changes! It’s also time to trade in some of my darker hued polishes and heavier moisturizers for lighter and brighter versions. Spring always seems to prompt me to clean out the old and bring on the fresh and new. I find it so therapeutic to purge my cabinets and drawers and then have an excuse to shop for products I need to replace or try new versions of. It stresses me out to have old or expired products to wade through everyday. Is that just me? While I work on the cleaning out part this week, I’m dreaming of what I’ll refilling my cabinets with. Here are some of the products I’ve got my eyes on for the upcoming warmer months!

One of the first things I switch up with the weather is my nail polish. Aila came out with a few new colors for Spring and since I’m a sucker for pastels, I’m really digging their new shade Blue Lagoon. Such a cute color for Spring and Summer. I love how long lasting Aila’s polishes are too. $17

Another shade on my list is this Lavender one from RGB. Confession: I actually have a very similar color from a not totally natural brand and I love it, so I’ve been looking for a nontoxic replacement. This seems to fit the bill. I saw someone on Instagram wearing it and it looked so pretty on her. $18

Total eye candy? Yes, but cheap it is not. This Kjaer Weis Highlighter is a splurge for sure, but I’ve been seriously considering it. I have yet to find a highlighter that I just love and doesn’t look too white or too yellowish on me. This seems like it would suite my skin nicely and so many beauty bloggers swear by it. And that packaging… Perfection. $56

After reading the rave reviews from Barebeauty.com and FreeLoveBeauty.com, I have to admit that True Nature Botanicals shot to the top of my ‘Must-Try’ list. Admittedly, I don’t need more skincare items right now, but sometimes it’s hard to resist right? Plus I’m almost out of my Suntegrity 5-in-1 tinted moisturizer, so it seems like a good time to switch it up and try something new. I do love my Suntegrity 5-in-1 (it gives great coverage) but it can sometimes be a bit heavy when I want to wear a bit more makeup so it might be nice to try a lighter version. If you act quick, BareBeauty has a promo code good until April 20th to get a free face mist when you purchase the Desert Island duo (includes this tinted moisturizer plus their face oil). Get the code here. $155 for Duo

Lift_Solo_7

All of Josh Rosebrook’s hair products are not only effective but also 100% free of any nasty ingredients- which is awesome considering how many nasties are hiding in traditional hair products. The newly released Lift has gotten great reviews and I could use some lift about now. My hair is thick and so very long right now (more than halfway down my back). It’s so heavy, I really can’t put it up or do much with it. I’m going to get it chopped at the end of the month and I’m looking forward to getting some volume and styling it a bit! (when I say chopped, please know there’s a 99% chance I’ll freak out and just ask for a few inches off). $22

You all know I love my mermaid products! With some shorter locks, I’m looking forward to rocking some easy, breezy beachy waves. I’ve been dying to try something from Captain Blankenship’s line and I think this Sea Salt Hair Spray may be my first. Isn’t the packaging so cute too? $24

So now I’m going to ask YOU for advice. Anyone out there have a favorite natural sunscreen for kids? I used Honest last year and while it certainly got the job done, it was so thick and heavy. The Spray in particular was very chalky and made us all look like ghosts (although on the bright side, it’s so easy to reapply on squirmy little kids that just want to run back in the water). I will probably purchase a few soon to try for the first part of the summer. What’s on your wish list for Spring? xo
