The September Glowing Beets box has a little something for everyone this month, including some great products to help you transition your skin care into fall. Glowing Beets generally has a good mix of products, so I wasn’t surprised to find products ranging from makeup to hair care in this month’s box. All of the products seem to be pretty universally appealing, which I think is always a struggle with subscription boxes. This month also featured mostly brands and products that were new to me, so I was especially excited to be able to get more familiar with some of them.

Glowing Beets September

Zao essence of nature Organic Liquid Eyeliner

Organic Liquid Liner

This product and brand are new to me, but I’m happy to discover it! First off, I love the bamboo packaging. It’s beautiful and I love that they found a renewable packaging solution. I also think their formulators are genius. They added in micronized silver powder to this liquid liner, which reduces redness and irritation, and silver is known to be an antimicrobial agent. They also added in Acacia Senegal gum which helps prevent irritation (it’s also a bonding agent to help the liner hold better). I really like the small brush tip and definitely think this liner is easy to apply. It dries fairly fast and holds for a long time without smudging. I do like the dark brown (almost expresso) color, although normally I reach for black liner. This is still great to have on hand for when I want something a little softer than just black.

q.c. naturals karan’s cleanser & timmy’s toner

q.c. naturals

Simple ingredients make these skincare products work gently on your skin. I’ve only tried 1 or 2 items from q.c. naturals, so I’m not super familiar with the line. However, I do like switching to more gentle products as the weather changes and this fits the bill. karan’s cleanser is definitely gentle and gets to work without stripping your skin. It smells like roses, which as you all know, I love! You wipe it on with a cotton round and rinse it off with warm water. While I don’t feel like this gives a deep clean like some cleansers, when you follow it up with timmy’s toner, you definitely can feel that deep down clean. With apple cider vinegar and witch hazel, timmy’s toner packs a punch and really gets all traces of makeup and oil while balancing your skin’s ph level. It smells kind of strong at first, but I got used to the scent quickly.

Antonin B. Paris Ceramides Enriched Desert Serum

Antonin B. Paris

My over processed hair loves a good hair oil or serum. I just don’t like when they’re too heavy and end up making my hair greasy or weighing it done. This one from Antonin B. Paris is light enough that it absorbs in quickly without making it greasy. It definitely smoothes my hair down and adds some shine as well. It’s made with 9 organic plant oils and overall I’d say the scent has a herbal, yet crisp scent.

pureSOL Konjac Facial Sponge

pureSOL

So you guys know that I’m no stranger to pureSOL and their Konjac sponges. They come as a hard, shriveled sponge, but let them have a little warm water and they puff up into soft, pillowy sponges that gently exfoliates your skin. I feel like I’m simply washing my face when I use them and I don’t even notice the exfoliation until I feel how smooth my skin is afterwards. Glowing Beets included either the charcoal version or the tumeric version in each box. I received the tumeric, which was perfect because I love tumeric.

All in all, this month had 4 full size products and one larger sample size, which I feel is a really good value for the price of the box. Glowing Beets has a good mix each month, as I mentioned before, but they also have some really interesting products that are fun to try out. I am pretty picky about my subscription boxes, but Glowing Beets always gets a thumbs up from me!
