Bath time is one of our favorite times around here, for both the kids and for me. A nice warm bath always winds the kids down before bed and I enjoy getting to spend some extra time giggling and splashing with them at the end of the day. I’m always looking for fun products to use during their bath time, that aren’t full of synthetic fragrances and other ingredients that can irritate their sensitive skin, so I was very excited to try some of Jacq’s Organics Bath Bombs and soap.

A lot of companies that make fun, colorful bath time products (like Lush) try to market them as natural when they’re anything but. The synthetic fragrance especially gets me since it’s potentially one of the most toxic ingredients. It’s disappointing because these products are for adults, but also made to appeal to children and a bunch of toxic ingredients are the last thing your little one needs at bath time. But Jacq’s Organics is the real deal- their bath bombs are completely natural and safe for both kids and adults.  They sent us a selection of their different bath bombs and each smelled amazingly fresh and/or sweet depending on the flavor. The scent even lingers in the bathroom after we’re done, which I love. All of their scents come from natural oils and dried flowers and herbs.

bath bombs

I’ve been hesitant to use bath bombs with the kids since it’s been tough to find some that were all natural, so this was a first for them and as you might have guessed, they LOVED it!! I let my son use one first and he loved watching it fizz up in the water. Afterwards, he looked so confused and when I asked him what’s wrong, he wanted to know why the bomb never exploded. I guess I should have known that a super hero obsessed five year old would get confused by the word bomb haha! He still thinks they’re pretty cool and has begged for them at every bath time since. I saved the pink one for Annabelle, which is the Hibiscus & Aloe scent. It turned the water pink, which just amazed her. She also was mesmerized by watching it fizz up and slowly spread it’s pretty pink color through the bath. These are not just for the kids though! I also love a nice, relaxing bath as much as the next girl, so these have been a treat for me as well.

We’ve also enjoyed trying their Carrot Con Leche Cleansing Bar, which is gentle on skin and has a light, pleasant scent. I have to say, everything we tried just really smells so good. The three Bath Bomb scents are Hibiscus & Aloe, Chocolate Coffee, and So Fresh, So Clean. It’s really hard to pick a favorite between them, but I’d have to say that Annabelle enjoyed the Hibiscus & Aloe the best simply because of the pink factor and I personally think my little man smells so good when he uses the So Fresh, So Clean one. And since I’m a huge fan of chocolate and coffee, I think my favorite is an easy choice!

This was my first time trying Jacq’s Organics, and I really was impressed. The ingredients are great, I think their prices are really affordable (the Bath Bombs are only $5 each and make a perfect special treat for your little one or for you), and the scents are what really won me over. If a natural brand really gets their product scents right, they have a fan for life with me. They make everything from body wash to skincare items, so I’m looking forward to trying more from their line. I think next I may try their candles, which sound amazing! You can check out their whole line here and learn more about the brand, like how they source ingredients and what they stand for. Happy bath time! xo
