Finding a retailer that carries a wide selection of quality nontoxic products can be daunting, but I recently came across one that has everything you need to cover all the bases for you and your family. Revescent offers a great selection of nontoxic products, including a few brands I haven’t tried before like Nuture My Body. I just wrote about their bug repellent yesterday, which surprised me by how well it worked and how much I liked it. I tried a few more of their products and can’t wait to tell you about them, but first I have to tell you how impressed I am with Revescent!
If you check out their site, I’m sure you’ll notice Revescent carries everything from makeup to mens products and even kids’ dress up makeup sets. Basically everything you need for your family from baby to mommy and everyone in-between. My order came to me beautifully packaged and even the samples that were included came in a delicate lace pouch, rather than just thrown in as an after thought. I always appreciate when a retailer takes the time to make sure everything arrives packaged nicely. They are also completely up front about what’s in all the products they carry and even post the EWG scores, so you know exactly what you’re getting.
In addition to Nuture My Body’s bug repellent, we’ve also been testing out their organic sunscreen for babies and the one for adults, as well as a sample of their shower gel. Both sunscreens are 100% organic and do not contain any extra ingredients (like oils for fragrance), so they’re completely free and clear of anything that might irritate sensitive skin. If you’ve ever used a natural sunscreen with a physical blocker, then you’re probably familiar with the fact that you have to blend it in a bit more than chemical sunscreens. These do go on a bit white due to the zinc oxide it contains, but it blends in with minimal rubbing. The kids version seemed to go on a bit more sheer than the adult, but it could just be in my head since it’s a little easier to rub it onto to someone else other than yourself (all the hard to reach places and all). Zinc oxide is pretty fail proof as it works well at blocking out the sun and is completely safe as an option for all ages. The shower gel also worked well and had a pleasant scent.
