It’s no secret that I love discovering unique, natural brands that do a great job with their ingredient selection. Revert New York happens to be just that. Made in Brooklyn, not only is their packaging gorgeous, elegant and interesting, it’s the incredible ingredients they put inside their striking packages that had me curious. It’s not just about the ingredients they avoid (trust me they have strict standards), but all of their products contain active, organic ingredients, including interesting things like cantaloupe which contains vitamins K, E, C, A and choline and betaine. Pretty incredible, right? I can’t say enough how impressed I am by the ingredients Revert uses!
I was fortunate enough to be able to try a few products from this line, including one of their facial soaps, a mask, lip balm and one of their delicious oil serums. Let’s start with the soap, which happens to contain cantaloupe (the powerhouse ingredient that I mentioned before). In addition to cantaloupe, it also contains sweet almond oil, rosehip oil and a myriad of other high quality organic oils that nourish your skin and leave it feeling hydrated instead of feeling stripped. I also tried a mask from their clay mask series and the texture through me for a loop! I expected it to be like any other clay mask and dry down to a tight, hard mask, but instead it went on feeling creamy and dried into a light film on my face. It was such a nice experience, since you get all the benefits of a clay mask (drawing out impurities) without the thick, firm mask feeling. The lemon chiffon lip balm became a fast favorite, but I think it was a seasonal product as it’s not on their site anymore. Speaking of seasonal products, a little birdie told me that Revert will have some fun new releases for this fall!
The last product I was able to try was the Light Bright Light Face oil serum. This serum smells amazing! It’s no wonder though, with ingredients like orchid extract, evening primrose oil, apricot kernel oil and jasmine CO2. This serum is designed to add a brighter, more luminous glow to your skin. It easily absorbs into your skin without leaving it feeling greasy and I enjoy the light scent that lingers from the ingredients.
