Your tiny little baby deserves the best, non-toxic products that you can find, right? I’ve gotten a few requests to list the tried and true, natural baby products I’ve used on my kids to diaper and bathe them. There are some amazing natural brands out there now (way more than when my son was born almost four years ago) and I love trying new products- but these are a few I keep coming back too again and again.

I blogged about my favorite diapers and did a full review here, and so it comes as no surprise that The Honest Co. gets top billing for diapers and wipes at our house. I even used the training pants on my son at one point. They work well and I absolutely love the designs and subscription service. This is one of the baby items that I struggled with because it’s pretty pricey, but after a lot of research I realized that there are slim pickings for completely nontoxic and eco-friendly diapers that work. These are priced competitively with the other natural brands that work. A month’s worth of diapers and 4 packs of wipes is $79.00. Buy a bundle here.

Earth Mama Angel Baby Bottom Balm is my current favorite diaper cream/balm. It’s very gentle and effective at protecting those delicate areas. My daughter (now 18 months) has been prone to diaper rash the last 6 months or so and this clears it up in a flash. I typically apply it at night and only use it during the day if I notice a little irritation starting. I also like Honest Co’s Diaper Cream and think its a good choice for you if you’re just switching to green products because it looks, feels, and smells like conventional diaper cremes so you’ll probably be very comfortable with it.

Where to buy the Bottom Balm: Some natural retailers or here  Cost: $8.95

So Annabelle totally crashed my product photo set and is seen here inspecting her Waxelene. This stuff is awesome. Think of all of the things you were going to use Vaseline for on your little one and then promptly throw that jar of toxic petrochemical away and buy Waxelene instead.

Where to buy: Whole Foods or here Cost: $4.99 for a small tube

Badger makes some fantastic products for adults and kids. Unfortunately, both my kids have struggled with eczema, but this balm with chamomile and calendula soothes it immediately.

Currently I use Honest Co. lotion and I get it pretty cheap as part of my bundle. I love how quickly it absorbs into Annabelle’s skin (I use it on Carson in the winter or if he’s looking dry) and I love the light scent. The only thing I don’t love is the packaging. I really wish it had a pump since I’m usually holding my child down on the changing table with one hand trying to squeeze out lotion and rub it on. Aside from packaging, this lotion is great!

I wrote about my favorite baby washes here, and still use the Babytime by Epicential on Carson and Annabelle. Also, in case you’re wondering, I do not use powder. I really find it unnecessary, and even the natural versions pose a risk since powder so easily becomes airborne. Little lungs just don’t need anymore irritation than they already get in our polluted environment. These are most the products I use on a daily basis but feel free to email me or leave a comment if there is something not listed here or something specific you are looking for.
