It’s the 1st of the month and you know what that means! It’s time to reveal what is inside the May Beauty Heroes box. This month’s box features a brand I’ve reviewed before and I’ve actually had the chance to chat with the wonderful founders in person at last year’s iBE. Max and Me is an Austrian brand that had me immediately with their beautiful products and gorgeous, fairy-like illustrations on their packaging. The brand is also built off of the love story between the founders, Max and Tanja Gruber. They are so sweet and kind in person, and speak very passionately about Max and Me. You can tell within moments of speaking with them, how much Max and Me means to them and how much love they pour into the brand. So as you might imagine, the hero this month is made with the same passion as everything else they do and it’s created a lovely product.
Circle Of Protection Body Oil
I’ve tried a lot of body oils and this one is truly a delight for your senses. That phrase gets thrown around a lot, but when you experience a product like this, there’s no other way to describe it. It has a perfumey blend of floral, citrus and a little bit of earthiness, that seems to be universally appealing. The scent is peaceful and calming. The oil is what I’d consider to be a richer body oil. It has a dark golden color and is a bit thicker going on, but blends in nicely without leaving any greasiness. I find that it keeps my skin soft and hydrated and is very long lasting for a body oil.
The star ingredients of this beautiful oil are some of my favorites: Argan, Marula, Rosehip, Magnolia, Manuka, Jasmine, Litsea, Vetiver, and Silver Fir. All so skin nourishing! The Sidekicks
Every hero needs a sidekick and this month there are two special surprises in the box. First, you get a companion size Circle Of Protection Body Oil to share with a friend. Second, they included a sample of Enchanted, their face oil which won best in show at iBE last year.
