I have been waiting (not so patiently!) to reveal the July Beauty Heroes box, because it features one of my favorite brands and two awesome products. I’ve sung Josh Rosebrook’s praises before, but I have to say he truly is a master at formulating products that have the best ingredients and usually the products go above and beyond, as is the case here. This month’s box is also an introduction to a new packaging roll out for the Josh Rosebrook line. The elegant white glass bottles and jars are just gorgeous. Within the next few months, the entire line will transition over to the new packaging, but for now Beauty Heroes subscribers will be some of the first to see it.
The two products featured in this month’s box are perfect for summer. One of Josh Rosebrook’s best selling products is the Nutrient Day Cream SPF 30 and with it’s stellar ingredients and universal appeal, it makes the perfect hero product for July. The sidekick is one of their brand new products and one that has quickly become a favorite of mine. In fact, I just wrote about Vital Balm Cream in June! It’s heaven in a jar. Also, it’s perfect for soothing skin that’s been playing in the sun and water.
The Hero
The first thing you’ll notice about Nutrient Day Cream SPF 30 (beyond the pretty bottle) is how well it sits on your skin. Unlike a lot of natural sunscreens, it leaves no white cast at all and manages to be moisturizing enough that you may be able to forgo anything underneath it. Beyond just sun protection, it’s full of ingredients that hydrate, calm, and brighten your skin. Picking powerhouse ingredients that all work well together is really Josh Rosebrook’s super power. Nutrient Day Cream has a nice, light scent, is long lasting and not the least bit greasy. I’m really picky about sunscreens, especially on my face, but this has really impressed me. They have perfected the natural face sunscreen with this formula. This normally retails for $85
The Sidekick
I’m so happy they were able to include the Vital Balm Cream in the July box. This deluxe sample size is 0.5 oz and enough to get you hooked. Seriously, I think it would be hard to try this and not want to get the regular size. It’s pale blue color and whipped texture sets it apart from other balms or creams. As I said in my previous review, the scent is amazing. It reminds of bubble gum a little, but it’s hard to place it. Overall, how it makes my skin feel is the biggest draw. It’s super hydrating without being the least bit greasy. The deluxe sample normally retails for $30, full size is $45
