I’m always excited to find handmade lines to share with you guys! Those are usually the ones made with so much care and a personal touch that you can’t find just anywhere. In most cases, the creator of the line has been driven to make safer products for themselves and their families and they truly care about what’s going into the products. That’s exactly the case with Homemade Betty

Homemade Betty is indeed made by hand and served up in the cutest packaging, such as little mason jars that make it seem like something your neighbor whipped up especially for you. They make everything from skincare products, to yoga mat cleaner, to bug spray. The whole line is 100% organic, vegan and fair trade and all of the ingredients are thoroughly researched for safety and effectiveness. I was able to try some of their delicious French Vanilla Body Butter and some of the Organic Baby Body Butter for the kids and I’ve ended up loving both!

Organic French Vanilla Body Butter

Organic French Vanilla Body Butter $25

My favorite thing about this body butter is the whipped, creamy texture that just melts right into your skin. I also really love the scent! Just the right notes of vanilla and it lingers on your skin without being overwhelming. The combination of raw shea butter, unrefined coconut oil, almond oil, and french vanilla oil (all organic) is deeply hydrating and leaves your skin feeling moisturized all day or all night. I’ve even been using it on my hands this winter and it’s done a great job of keeping them moisturized throughout the day. It comes in an adorable 8 oz jar.

Organic Baby Body Butter

Organic Baby Body Butter $15

One of the first thing I look for in products for babies and small children is that it doesn’t have a lot of unnecessary ingredients. Children have sensitive skin and even when all of the ingredients are considered safe, sometimes too much can be irritating to their skin. This baby body butter has just raw shea butter, un-refined coconut oil, and baobab oil (all organic). Just the perfect blend to soothe and moisturize little one’s skin without irritating it. The whipped texture goes on easy and sinks right into their skin. Because un-refined coconut oil contains lauric acid, which has anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties, this butter can actually help to treat things like diaper rash, eczema, and cradle cap. This is also served up in a small, cute jar.
