It’s the most wonderful time of the year! And it also happens to be one of the most busy times, full of events to get all dolled up for, hoping your makeup makes it through the night. As we’ve made the rounds to one holiday party after another the last couple of weeks, I’ve discovered a makeup line that performs SO well, you guys. Not only does it include gorgeous colors that are easy to apply, but this makeup really holds up. You can count on it to stay put for a busy day ahead or a night of mingling (because truly, who wants to get half way through the party only to realize you’ve had makeup traveling under your eyes for a majority of the evening?).
Let me introduce you to Gia Minerals. This line was created by Georgina Tzavaras, who used her extensive background in chemistry to create a line of beauty products suitable for her sensitive skin and that was completely nontoxic and free of the nasty ingredients most beauty products included. She not only accomplished all of that, but she managed to create a line that can hold it’s own against conventional makeup. Seriously. I’ve never had eyeshadow last as long as this with out fading or creasing and the mascara.. I may just have a new favorite. I was able to create quite a few different looks with just a handful of products from Gia Minerals and I will show two of my favorites, but first let’s talk about what I tested and the performance!
Bronzer
This is a loose, mineral bronzer that goes on smooth without looking too shimmery, unlike some other mineral bronzers. I’m pretty fair with neutral under tones, so I opted for the lighter of the two colors and it blends in nicely. Since it’s a little on the warm side and that doesn’t always read too well on my skin, I’ve found that a lighter touch gives me the finish I’m looking for. It’s great for an all over glow or just accentuating your cheekbones, around your hairline, etc. This holds up well and seems to last all day on me. $25
Eye Shadow/Liner
It’s hard not to let their shadows steal the show! They come in the most gorgeous colors and the selection in unreal. Pretty much any shade you’re looking for, they have something to suit you- from vibrant colors to neutrals. These colors can go on soft or they easily build to bold. I’ve been using Lace (off-white), Emerald, and Moondance (dark blue) and I love how long they stay on. I even have experimented with using them as eyeliner and they work equally as well. I especially love using Moondance as a liner! $20 each
Mascara
With a thick, full brush, this mascara lengthens and gives volume, making your lashes look full. As if that alone wasn’t quite a fete for an all natural mascara, it also lasts all day without smudging. That’s almost unheard of with natural mascaras. I would compare the results to what I used to get with my beloved Dior Show. This seriously may be my new favorite mascara. $28
