I can’t decide if January flew by or if it was excruciatingly long. Perhaps it somehow did both? Either way, February is here and we’re one step closer to spring. Just in time, Beauty Heroes has a hero and a sidekick to help keep our skin fresh faced through the final weeks of winter into spring.
February Beauty Heroes Box
This month’s box features Fitglow Beauty. The founder of Fitglow, Anna Buss, is one of those effortlessly gorgeous women that’s also kind and approachable. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting her in person and chatting about everything from healthy skincare to our shared love of Boston Terriers. She also may or may not be known to DM me pictures of her dog on occasion. Anna knows what it’s like to battle skin woes and after years of suffering from rosacea, she decided to approach the problem in a different way. She’s worked with an incredible team of chemists and a naturopathic doctor to develop a line of skincare that truly helps your skin be at it’s best.
The Hero
The Hero this month is Cloud Comfort Cream. The name is enough to make you want to dive right in, right? It lives up to its name as a very soothing, lovely cream. It’s meant to be applied after toner and any serums you apply. It’s light enough to work well on oily or normal skin. I have combination skin and find it to be just moisturizing enough. If I’m feeling particularly dry, I’ll layer a heavier serum underneath. I love the way this smells- a soft, lightly sweet scent.
The Sidekick
The Sidekick is something perfect for rosacea or any facial redness. Redness Rescue Cream is formulated with ingredients that soothes and calms skin, calm inflammation, and more. I’ve tried this previously and was so impressed that I quickly passed it to my mom (as sad as I was to let it go), since she’s suffered from rosacea for years. She reported back that this had drastically helped her redness. I found that it reduced the redness in areas where I’m usually red and absorbs in quickly without making my skin oily. It’s great to layer on top of any moisturizer you wear and the green tint further helps to disguise redness.
