It’s always fun to see what’s inside Boxwalla‘s bi-monthly beauty box. I’ve experienced a lot of green beauty brands and yet, Boxwalla somehow always seems to introduce me to brands I haven’t tried before. This latest box followed suit with their South East Asia inspired box which featured the brand Siam SEAS. I’ve heard a lot about Siam SEAS, but have not had the opportunity to try it until now and I have to say, I wish I had tried it sooner! Just when you think you’ve tried every serum or balm cleanser out there, once in a while it’s like boom! Here’s a product that’s very different than what you’ve tried before and all of your expectations are blown away. That’s exactly how I felt as I tried all the products for the first time.

Siam SEAS

Siam SEAS was created by the founder’s own need to heal her acne, eczema, dark spots, etc. After researching botanicals from South East Asia and finding them to be very potent and wonderful at healing the skin, the formulas started to emerge. Siam SEAS definitely focuses on the ritualistic side of skincare and taking a moment to slow down and really care for your skin. All of the products have great textures and scents. I feel like they each have their own exotic herbal scent, but none are too overwhelming in their scent.

Siam SEAS Cleansing balm

Mekha Cleansing Balm

This is definitely one of the products that ended up being way different than my expectations. It’s a thick balm with some granulated botanicals within it so as you massage it on you get such a deep clean. Not only does the balm deep clean your pores, but you get a gentle exfoliating effect as well, leaving your skin feeling soft and smooth. They recommend putting a hot towel on your face first to loosen impurities and then massaging the cleanser on. Afterwards, reapply the hot towel and leave on until it cools, and then gentle wipe the cleanser away. This product had the most herbal scent of all in my opinion, but once again, it was not overpowering.

Beauty Balm

SEAS Elements Beauty

The silky texture of this balm melts right into your skin on contact. It was created to help brighten the dark spots acne had left behind on the founder of Siam SEAS’s skin. It helps with skin tone, while also delivering hydration and nutrients to your skin. They recommend applying this while skin is still damp (from a toner or from washing) and encourage you to really take your time and breathe while massaging it in.

Siam Seas serum

The Twilight BeCalm Skin Serum

Another product that really went beyond my expectations is this truly light and hydrating serum. It’s meant to help fight inflammation and the ingredients read like a greatest hits list of skincare. Everything from black cumin seed oil to pomegranate seed oil to organic aloe gel. The serum is very light and sinks right into your skin. They recommend using this last or if you need a lighter moisturizer, just use this alone. It’s best to give it a little shake before use- as they say that allows for the micro-emulsion of the botanicals. I’m excited to see what long term results come from this serum after I’ve used it for several weeks.

Siam SEAS

All in all this was another great box from Boxwalla. A great value and an awesome brand. Boxwalla has hinted that their December Beauty Box is going to be a good one, so get on it now if you want to order! You can sign up here. xo
