Get excited, because today is the day that Beauty Heroes is dropping their very limited edition, newest Seasonal Makeup Discovery Box. While some of their past Makeup Discovery boxes have featured brands that are near and dear to my heart, this box happens to feature a brand that I’m not well acquainted with. But you know what? I think this may be my favorite makeup discovery yet! Gressa is loved by many and I did actually have the chance to try their foundation waayyy back when, at ANFGB (anyone else remember that?). I loved it, but the lighting at the event was weird so I ended up skipping it since I couldn’t match it up well with my skin. I was bummed to not have had a chance to be able to try Gressa, so I’m very excited to have the chance to give them a try now. Plus, the products in the Makeup Discovery box are next level!

Gressa Eye Tints

Gressa Eye Tint

These really surprised me. I’ve tried cream eyeshadows before and felt like they creased almost immediately or just vanished into thin air (seriously, has anyone else had that happen?). I use a little bit of setting powder on my lids and these stay all day. One of the days I used them, I saw a tiny bit of creasing at the end of the day, but we’re talking 12 hours later and it was hardly noticeable. What I really like about the Eye Tints is how versatile they are. You can use just a bit for a subtle hint of color, or it’s quite easy to build it up into a very pigmented color. These melt into your skin and blend quite easily.

The box includes two Eye Tints: one in the color Obscur and one in Aureo. Obscur is a dark and moody color that can really bring some drama. It’s deep, deep brown and you can either use as an accent or for your whole lid. I like using it right around my lash line. Aureo is a golden beige color with a little shimmer. It’s very subtle and gives a nice glow to your eyes. I love using it on the inner corners of my eyes or to blend in with Obscur. This would also make a great highlighter!

Eye Tint Brush

Gressa Eye Tint Brush

Sometimes I like doing a more casually look and blending with my fingers, but mostly I prefer a more precise application (with less mess on my fingers) and this brush does the job well. It was designed just for these Eye Tints and the shape of the brush easily allows you to blend into your whole lid or get more precise by applying just to the corners of your eyes or your lash line. The tip of the brush is angled well for this. If you’re not used to applying cream-type eyeshadows, it may take a couple of practice runs, but after you get the hang of it, you’ll love the way this brush works!

Lumiere in Eva

Gressa Lumiere

This is a brand new launch and Beauty Heroes gets the first peek! I was not expecting the deep bronzy color of this highlighter. It’s actually so different than a regular highlight though- it gives your skin more of a lit from within glow, unlike a typical sparkly or shimmery highlight. It has a serum-like consistency and I’ve found that a little goes a long way. I have it swatched unblended below. Once blended, it’s almost invisible. This product has me hooked! I’ve been using it nonstop since it arrived.

As I mentioned, this box is limited addition, so if you’ve been wanted to try Gressa, jump on it while you can. The retail value of this box is $114, so it’s a great deal at $38.25 for Beauty Heroes members! Non-members are welcome to purchase the box for $45 and can do so here. As a side note, this is not part of the regular subscription, but is offered as an additional purchase. As always, Members receive 15% off at Beauty Heroes Beauty Store and Gressa just launched there- including their coveted Minimalist Corrective Serum Foundation. Happy shopping! xo
