It’s already been a week and I still can’t stop thinking about this year’s A Night For Green Beauty! It was such an incredible evening filled with phenomenal nontoxic beauty brands, retailers and so many top influencers in the green beauty community. They even had a braid bar and professional makeup artist touching up your look. The event space was elegant and chic, and the place was buzzing the whole night. I’m still sad that I missed a few people I wanted to meet, but the night was so busy and honestly, it was a bit hard to spot people in real life when I only know most of them from blogs and Instagram. However, I did get to chat with so many incredible people. I’m ready to give you all the dirty deets!

So first of all, I must apologize for the quality of the photos. I debated on bringing my nice camera, but felt like it would be too much to manage along with holding a purse, stuff I bought, and perhaps a drink :). I used my iPhone and the lighting was a little weird in there- it made for a great event in person, but 75% of the photos I took turned out tinted and dark. Like this photo of my husband and I below:

This year’s event was held at Venue One in Chicago, which was just a stunning and sprawling space. Before the main event, they held a ticketed event referred to as The Show, which was a runway show featuring several looks by makeup artists in the green beauty community using only natural cosmetics and hair care products. It was a fun to see some familiar faces as the models, such as Brandie Gilliam of OrganicBeautyTalk.com and Jessica Morse of BareBeauty.com.   (Pictured below- Models Aisha and Mia):

Each look was created by one of the retail sponsors of the event: BeauTeaBar, EcoDivaBeauty, and IntegrityBotanicals. I have to say they all were stunning and it was awesome to see such gorgeous looks created with only natural beauty products, but one of the best parts of the show were the swag bags waiting for us in our chairs.

I’ll show what was inside in a moment, but all of the retail sponsors were so generous and I truly appreciate all they contributed for this event. Immediately following the show we were able to explore the space and go to each table set up by the brands that were there. Meeting the creators and founders of these incredible products truly was the highlight of the evening, along with meeting so many of my fellow bloggers and other influencers in the green beauty community. Despite the fact that I missed so many people I wanted to speak to, there were so many inspiring people that night.

Some of the amazing people I met: Sarita Coren of Edible Facial, who is not only a gentle, kind soul, but also a big influencer in the green beauty community, Sheri Stroh, who is an incredible makeup artist (if you’re not following her on Insta, you should: @sheristroh), Rikita Kapadia of Cocovít, who I’ve worked with in the past and I just adore her, Erika Rodriguez of Axiology, who I’ve also worked with and she is so sweet in person! I spoke with so many other founders that night that all have so much passion and creativity behind their lines, but the one that sticks out the most in my mind is Suzanne LeRoux of One Love Organics. I just love her whole line of products and hearing her talk about why they use the ingredients they do and how they formulate their scents was just incredible for me!

Some of the product launches that stood out for me were: Josh Rosebrook’s Balance shampoo and conditioner, which smells amazing and seems to be the answer for those who found his other shampoo/conditioner too heavy, Cocovít’s new charcoal mask, Alima Pure‘s new pressed foundation (launching next month), One Love Organics new products like the Coconut + Salt body lotion, and so many others. I had my heart set on purchasing some of these new releases, however my husband was very strategic. He insisted I had no need to bring my wallet since he’d be there with me and it would free up some hands, but then he seemed to be no where to be found anytime I was near a table of products I wanted to purchase. I only managed to snag some of Captain Blankenship’s Mermaid Sea Salt Hair Spray, but jokes on my hubby, because many of the retailers offered special discount codes to those who attended ANFGB. So I’m still planning on doing some damage!

Of course, such a big thanks to La Bella Figura who has been the driving force behind A Night For Green Beauty. I had the opportunity to meet Victoria and she is absolutely lovely. Although I’m sad this was the last A Night For Green Beauty, it’s exciting to see what they have in store for the future. So, I bet you’re all wondering just what was in the swag bags! I tried to fit everything into the pictures below.

Pretty incredible, right? Well, if you’ve been feeling down that you couldn’t make it to ANFGB this year, I have a surprise for you. Since a lot of these items are duplicates for me (and as much as it pains me to admit I don’t need 4 bottles of Aila + BeauTeaBar Like A Boss nail polish… at least according to my husband), I’m giving away some of my swag plus some items out of my personal collection, so that you can have your own swag bag and feel like you were there (almost). Just enter below and I will announce the winner here on the blog in a week!
