December is here and so is the busiest season of the year! I have to say that my kids make this month for me. They’re so excited about every single detail. Even just seeing Christmas decorations when we’re out and about makes them light up! I love it, because it helps me to stop and appreciate it too. It’s a crazy month, but it’s always one of my favorites. So before you get caught up decking the halls, baking up a storm and watching Christmas movies, here’s 7 things for December.

7 Things For December

No Bake Apple Cinnamon Cookies

I found this recipe right before Thanksgiving and it was a perfect last minute treat to make with the kids. I knew we’d have pies the next day and I had already made Simple Mills cupcakes since we always end up celebrating my husband’s birthday over Thanksgiving, so I wanted something without tons of sugar and that was easy. We whipped these up in minutes. They’re paleo, vegan, and super delicious. I plan on making a few batches this month to satisfy my December cookie cravings without all the guilt. Find the recipe here on PaleoRunningMomma.com.

7 Things For December

Turmeric Infused Dark Hot Chocolate

It’s not December without hot chocolate! Elements Truffles just released their take on the classic and it’s so much more decadent than your typical hot chocolate. It’s not surprising since Elements Truffles has mastered making artisan chocolate bars that are raw, organic and dairy free. The Turmeric Infused Dark Hot Chocolate is unique because it makes a very small, but thick and rich cup of hot chocolate. It’s very sophisticated. (keep an eye out on Instagram where I’ll be giving some of their goodies away!)

7 Things For December

Plume Lash and Brow Serum

Earlier this fall I started using Plume Lash Serum and being honest, I wasn’t expecting much. I’ve been so impressed with how my lashes have done with it though! I’ve gotten a lot of new growth and my lashes are growing longer. I now wish I’d taken some before photos so I could compare, but even just putting on mascara I can see a difference in how much further my wand has to go. It took me about 4 weeks to start seeing results and I’m hoping to see even more results in the coming weeks. Now would be a great time to incorporate this into your routine and by New Years your lashes will start looking longer and fuller! You can find it at aillea.com.

Each year The Detox Market puts together a box filled with their top products. This year’s box is packed with a bunch of my personal favorites, along with tried and true green beauty favorites. The box has over $310 worth of products and sells for $149, so it’s a steal. It would make a great gift for someone transitioning into natural beauty too! Here’s what’s included:

MV Skincare Rose Soothing and Protective Moisturizer, $135, Josh Rosebrook Hydrating Accelerator, $20, Odacité Green Ceremony Cleanser, $55, The Beauty Chef Collagen Inner Beauty Boost, $16, David’s Natural Toothpaste, $7.95, RMS Beauty Vintage Cake Liner, $24, Lily Lolo Natural Vegan Mascara in Black, $20, Soapwalla Sensitive Skin Lavender Mint Deodorant Cream, $16, Rahua Shampoo and Conditioner Travel Set, $16.50

Scoop one up at The Detox Market for a limited time.

Five.

wrappily

Eco-Friendly Wrapping Paper

I talked about this last year, but I thought this was a great time to bring it up. With tons of gifts to wrap, why not make them chic and eco-friendly? A lot of wrapping paper can’t be recycled because of the dyes and additives used. I know some go the brown craft paper route so it can be recycled, but I love finding a festive print! Wrappily offers eco-friendly wrapping paper in super cute prints. We also use brown paper with pretty ribbons to wrap, but if you’re looking for an alternative to the usual wrapping paper, definitely check them out!

Six.

hanna xmas jams

Christmas Jammies

Now is the time to stock up on organic pajamas for the kids! While the majority of my kid’s clothing is not organic, I do try to buy organic for their pajamas since they spend so much time in them (especially younger kids). Our favorite brand for cute, organic Christmas jammies is Hanna Anderson and I just scooped up a bunch at their Black Friday sale. They’ve been having more sales these past couple weeks, so keep an eye out! A cheaper alternative is the Burt’s Bees Baby organic line. They have cute prints, but I’ve found them to be a lot thinner and they shrink up some in the wash. They’re still great if you’re not counting on passing them down to siblings.

Seven.

Mabrook & Co Candle

Candles Without the Junk

Tis the season of coziness and with that comes candles. The only downside is that conventional candles can actually pollute your indoor air. Major bummer, I know. On the bright side (pun intended) there are several options for clean burning candles. For just plain tealights or candle sticks I love this beeswax brand. Did you know beeswax has been shown to clean the air when it’s burned? For scented options I really Mabrook & Co’s candles. They come in large jars and last a really long time.

Happy December! Be sure to check out my Instagram page– I’ve teamed up with a few blogger friends to bring you guys a massive 12 Days of Christmas giveaway and we’ve got some great things lined up! xo
